Beth'tilac Has a Panic Attack

    • Currently 0 / 5

Finally, finally, finally... the spider bitch goes down in smoldering, destructive flames.  This was one of those fights for us where she should have died weeks ago.  We had the dps, we had the player skill- just something wasn't lining up correctly.  Well, all of those frustrations can be put to bed with a warm mug of frothy hot chocolate and marshmallows.  The key for us seemed to be mana management on the part of the healers so they could go into phase 2 close to topped off, which required better add control and less sustained raid damage down below.  This meant the Spinners being dealt with quickly-- and Xolo's Righteous Fury helped considerably to knock those suckers from their web strands.  It also meant taking care of Spiderlings with mainly one dps so as not to pull too much away from the Spinners and Drones.  And finally, it meant the upstairs team learning not to fall through holes, stay healed, and keeping a dps with them for all three cycles.  The final piece of the puzzle was Firkey coming down from up top in the late part of the third cycle to help finish off the Drone and make sure that Beth had no Spiderlings for nom-nom health regeneration.  No little crunchy critters to snack on, lots of blown cooldowns in Phase 2, and we had us a dead arachnid.  That was one kill that was long overdue and felt really good to finally get.  Now onto Lord Rhyolith clean-up and a hopefully much quicker boss mastery of Baleroc.  Grats to all!
